Workshop Training Manual
The supervisor plays a crucial part in a student’s path towards a PhD and beyond – and yet many supervisors receive little or no training in the role. To fill this gap, CARTA offers a week-long workshop for a mix of both senior and new supervisors. This curriculum, based on experience and best practice, is designed to guide you, the facilitator, to lead a successful, participatory workshop.
Review the CARTA approach and adapt it to suit your own discipline and institution. The goal is effective doctoral supervision and, in turn, more skilled researchers and scientists and better equipped universities.
